breakfast in garner ncThere’s nothing like a hearty breakfast to get the day off to a great start. Whether you’re planning a breakfast meeting with a client or looking for a weekend brunch spot, Garner, NC has you covered!

Of course, Garner has the typical breakfast staples such as IHOP and Starbucks. But in this post, we’ll look at a few places with a little more local flavor. Here are some of the most notable local breakfast spots:

Angie’s Restaurant

Angie Mikus opened her restaurant doors in 2011, but this converted barn has been home to great food and friendships since the 1940s. Angie’s menu includes homestyle favorites, including fresh-made biscuits, Belgian waffles, hash browns, and eggs in any style. If you need to eat early, Angie’s is the place to be—it opens at 5:30 a.m. every day but Sunday. Guests rave about the friendly service, so it’s sure to be a great start to your day!

Visit the website for Angie’s Restaurant.

Famous Toastery

If you’re in the mood for an avocado omelet, a breakfast burrito with homemade salsa, or a raspberry walnut flapjack, the Famous Toastery is the place to go. This up-and-coming chain started here in North Carolina and is quickly becoming a favorite throughout the Southeast. You can expect great coffee, fresh ingredients, and eggs sourced from cage-free farms.

Toot-N-Tell Family Restaurant

If you’re hungry for a big breakfast in a casual setting, stop by this local gem that was founded in 1946. The family-owned Toot-N-Tell offers an all-you-can-eat buffet as well as daily breakfast specials. It opens at 5:30 every morning. Not an early riser? Don’t worry—breakfast is available all day.

Visit the Toot-N-Tell Facebook page.

State Farmer’s Market Restaurant

Technically this one is in Raleigh, but we’re including it because 1) it’s an important part of the local food scene, and 2) THE BISCUITS. Guests can’t get enough of the made-from-scratch Southern biscuits. The restaurant includes an extensive down-home breakfast menu and is a great place to stop before (or after) browsing the produce, cheeses, crafts and more available from local North Carolina farmers.
